Tuesday is park day...and the day of my first harvest

Going to the park on Tuesdays is so much fun. I usually get to see my friend Hannah and that makes me very happy. I started asking for her on Monday afternoon through the evening and was thrilled when my mommy told me I would be able to play with her at Rotary Park today. She is a lot of fun and I am thankful to have her as a special friend.

Hannah and I played on the swings and bouncy animals at the park together. We even had some fun at the water fountain right before we left.

Mom tried to get a picture of me on the other side of the bubble, but everytime she tried to take a snapshot I turned around. Better luck next time mom....
I watched the kids play on the merry-go-round for a couple of minutes and then I asked if I could try it. I was a lot of fun. At first the kids went kind of slow for me. Then, more kids came and it got faster and faster.

I met another boy named Joshua and he was much older than me. He was very kind towards me and told my mommy that he would sit next to me so that I wouldn't fall off when we went really fast. It was so much fun! I can't wait to take my daddy to this park to spin around with him.

I had a lot of fun climbing up the steps and sliding down the slide. I also wanted to try to climb up the slide once I went down...it wasn't very easy.
Hannah and I had a great time washing our hands and splashing around in the water fountain just before we left the park. I was just tall enough to be able to open wide for a refreshing drink. I wasn't very happy to leave the fountain...water is my favorite thing to play with, but going home for lunch and a nap was just what I needed. My aunna was coming over to play with me and mom wanted to make sure I was well rested.

When my aunna came over today we played and took a walk to go look at the fishy's together. Before she left I went out with her to pick my first cucumber from our patio pots. I was very proud of my first harvest. My mommy cut it up for our family to enjoy at dinner time...yum, yum!

Have a great week everyone. Mom and I will be getting ready for my 2nd birthday celebration. I can't wait to see my family on Sunday and have fun celebrating all of God's blessings in my life!

The Toledo Zoo

I went to the Toledo Zoo last week with my mom, Grandma, Aunna, Keisha, and Daniel. I had so much fun. I really liked looking at the "animal heads." The fish was my favorite. I also liked putting my head inside of the dog head. How silly! Here is a pic of my Grandma, Keisha and I. We had a great time looking at all of the fish. There were tons of them...even jellyfish, sharks, and crabs.

I was really interested in looking at the baby owl until I got up close to it for a photo op. It was really nice to be able to see different animals up close...too close wasn't much fun though.

I was really close to the baby camel. I did a little bit better looking at this animal up close because my mommy held me and took pictures at the same time....phew!

The Rhino's were SO BIG! I talked about them for days after we came home.

I really liked going to the log cabin to view the wolves. They were sleeping, but they were so pretty to look at and reminded me of my doggy, Mocha.

I was able to see elephants for the first time ever at the Toledo Zoo. They were also really big and it would have been nice if they had more space to roam in. We were happy to get a picture of Aunna, Keisha, Daniel, Mommy and Me near their habitat. They were busy dusting themselves with dirt.

The polar bears were the best! They were so active and so close. We stayed in the polar bear exhibit for nearly 20 minutes. They were swimming, jumping, climbing and playing with a ball.

After a while we need to sit down for a water break and some lunch. We were able to watch the black bears while we rested.
This is a pic of me with the whole gang as we were leaving the zoo. I was super tired from a fun-filled day at the zoo. I am so thankful to God that I have a family that loves me and that enjoys making wonderful memories with me. Mommy took this pic of Keisha and I on the way home from the zoo...we both zonked out for the entire ride home!!!!

Happy 4th of July

Daddy started the celebration by lighting sparklers with Nick and I.
I loved running around seeing the sparklers make smoke.I didn't want my mommy to spend time hugging on me...ugh!But, Nick was so happy to see his mom!On the 4th of July we went to my Papa and Grandma's house for Big party. There were lots of people there. We celebrated Keisha's 11th birthday and I was able to hit my first pinata. I LOVED it! I was like an old pro at swinging the bat. Here I am picking up my loot! Now I get to enjoy my loot....yummy M&M's.M&M face :-)This was our stash of fireworks. I stayed up to see them, but.....
They were just okay at first......Then I got a little bit nervous.....Then I buried myself in between my mommy and my grandma and begged to go home...we left early, but I still got to see some of the firework extravaganza! My Uncle Michael impressed everyone with some pretty cool fireworks.

We even were able to see fireworks from the neighbors...what a great day!

Sprinkler Fun

The other day my mom and dad set up the sprinkler so that I could run around and play. I had a great time! The water was really cold, but I didn't care...I did a lot of running and then told my mom and dad that I was all wet!

Ahh! Something cool to drink after lots and lots of running....refreshing!

I also went to a sprinkle park with my mom and Grandma. I was kind of chilly out to start, but it ended up being a great morning. My friend Hannah and her mommy were also at the park. We try to go to the park on Tuesdays to meet new friends from our MOPS group. We've been very blessed to meet Hannah and her mom, Becky. They really love the Lord and they also live only a mile away. Thank you God for putting them in our lives.

Running, running, running through the sprinklers!!!!

Checking out the park with Hannah

Where does that water come from??

Hannah and I enjoying a yummy snack.

I liked looking at the sprinklers more than I liked going through them. The water was really cold!!! I also liked climbing up the BIG hill and running around in the sandy areas with the climbing structures. It was a wonderful morning and I was sooooo happy my Grandma was able to come with me. I love making special memories.

Ready to go up the hill!

I made it to the top!

On my way down!!!

Tutor Time and Play Time

A lot has happened in my little life since my mom last sat down to blog. The pics below are of my and my buddy Nick. My mom tutors him 2x per week and I love it because we also get bunches of time to hang out with each other. I think Nick is really cool...he's like my big brother!
This pic is of me stealing some of Nick's watermelon ...it was soooooooo good!

I also had a VERY fun play date last week with my friend Hannah. We had a great time! We shared toys together and my mommy and her mommy got to hang out and chat. We even spent some time rockin' away on the rocker. Isn't she adorable?!?!?! I can't wait to play with her again :-).
