Cookie Day 2009

Yeah! We reinstated cookie day in our family this year. I was looking forward to seeing everyone all week. Then...my mommy and I got sick. =( It was a rough morning, but we were both determined to try to have fun for cookie day. Grandma, Aunna and Melissa really made the day happen and we ended up with bunches of yummy cookies. Mommy and I haven't had any yet...our tummy's are still recovering, but mommy did save a few...maybe tomorrow! Check out the pics of our fun day.

Mommy let me open one present for cookie day....
It was my very own rolling pin and cookie cutters. Here I am showing Melissa my rolling pin and she is showing me hers.

Keisha spent lots of time with me - even when I was too tired to help cook...we snuggled on the floor in my room

Even Joseph helped cut out some sugar gookies...what a guy!

After I had a bath I cam out to help make some sugar cookies for my Papa...I hope he likes them!

My Aunna let me shake the sprinkles...that was fun!

My mommy even helped out...she felt (and looked) pretty icky, but we still had fun.

Check out all of the cookies...already to be packaged up!

Mommy read everyone a story. It's one of my favorite's..."The Mitten" by Jan Brett. It was a great night!!!!

A busy day loaded with fun

On Friday my mommy took me to visit my Grandma and her friends at work. I was rather shy at first, but after a few little snacks and a rousing game of "where's Janet?" I was warmed up and ready to play.
When I was done visiting I was able to go get Keisha after school let out (my Grandma works at the same school Keisha attends). I love Keisha very much and was excited to see her. When we left the school we went to Daniel's school and picked him up. I didn't think the day could get any better and then....my friend Hannah and her mommy came over to play too!!! I had so much fun! I was a bit wild and messy with my toys, but I think it was because I was overwhelmed with excitement. I was even blessed with some very special Christmas presents from Hannah and her mom and dad...a santa Mr. Potato Head and my very own snowman soup (hot cocoa mix) and mug (for those wintery snowy days). LOVE IT!
I love spending time with people that I love - It's great to know that God loves blessing his children!!!
Here I am with Janet, Keisha, (me), Grandma, and Carolyn! Here is the great Charlie Brown Christmas decor that they put up at my Grandma's job...its adorable!

Time with Hannah

Last week my friend Hannah was able to come over and play with me while her mommy and daddy went out to eat and did some Christmas shopping. As always, we had a great time together. It is such a joy to be able to create special friendships and an even greater joy to know that God provides us with friends that are incredible blessings in our lives.

I can count to 10

It amazes my mommy and daddy everyday how much I am learning and growing. I know my colors and shapes, I speak in complete sentences, I love asking questions, I'm beginning to sound out letters and...I can count to 10!

Christmas Lights 2009

Every year my Mommy and Daddy venture out to see the lights along Hines Drive. This was my 3rd time going and of course I enjoyed it most this year! My friends Keisha and Daniel came with us and we had a blast. My mommy surprised us by stopping at Dunkin Donuts to get some munchkin donuts to munch on while we enjoyed the pretty lights.

Here we are piled in the car waiting for my daddy to put gas in the car...
Our first glimpse of the twinkling lights.

Aunt Joan's Christmas Open House

Thank you Aunt Joan for sharing your gift of hospitality with everyone last week at your annual Christmas Open House. We had a great time celebrating with LOTS of family and friends. Christmas is such a special time!

Here are mommy, daddy and I in front of Aunt Joan's tree. Grandma and her brother Jimmy

My new nativity

My mommy's friend Becky told ny mommy about this great little people nativity. My mom picked it up for me and I LOVE IT! We play with it everyday and talk about Jesus Birthday! I really enjoy playing with the animals, but each day I am understanding a little bit more about the birth of the greatest gift of all - JESUS!
Thanks for telling us abou this Mrs. Becky!

Happy Birthday Mocha!

December 1st was a very special at our house. It was Mocha's 8th birthday (I know the candle says 3....I picked it our of our box of candles and liked it a lot). I helped my mommy decorate the house with balloons and we made swedish meatballs with noodles for dinner...my grandma and papa came over and we had a lot of fun celebrating Mocha. She gave us a scare a couple of months ago with her health, but Jesus helped her to feel better and we are so happy!

Meet "Orangey"

Meet the newest addition to our family...my kitty named "Orangey." He isn't a "real" kitty, but he is realy enough to me. I've been wanting a cat for quite some time, but my Mocha won't allow another animal into our home. Mommy and Daddy found this cat at the store on Black Friday and daddy said I could have it right away. I love Orangey. He meows, purrs, licks his paw, rolls over and falls asleep. He is sooo much fun - thanks mommy and daddy.

Thanksgiving 2009

It's never too late to catch up on blog posts, right?!?! My mom finally bought her new flash drive (great sale at Target) and is ready to catch up on the past month or so.

The end of November brought about a very special holiday...Thanksgiving. God has given each of us so much to be thankful for on a daily basis. We are a blessed family and so enjoyed getting together to celebrate the many blessings the Lord has given us. What a joy to be able to celebrate with the ones you love the most the grace and blessings the Lord continually pours out into our lives.

Here is my Aunt Joan checking on dinner...she hosts our family at her house. My Aunt Joan has the true gift of hospitality. She welcomes everyone into her home and puts out quite a spread with complete joy in her heart. She is a blessing to all of us.
Here is my Uncle Michael taking the stuffing out of the turkey and getting ready to cut up the turkey - yum!
Keisha changed my diaper for the first time by herself - she did a great job!
Ah - ha - the guitar - I loved strumming to my own little song!
